Business Hours
Accurate business hours on your Google Business Profile (formerly known as Google My Business) help potential customers plan their visit to your location.
Imagine someone planning a last-minute trip to your business, only to find out that you’re closed when Google says you’re open! This can lead to frustration and a negative perception of your business.
Regularly updating your hours helps avoid these misunderstandings and ensures your business looks reliable and professional.
Holiday Hours
Holiday hours are a common source of confusion for customers. If you’re open on certain holidays or have adjusted hours, it’s essential to reflect this on your Google Business Profile. Google even allows you to set special hours in advance for specific dates.
This can prevent people from showing up at your door when you’re not open, and it shows that you care about keeping your customers informed.
Tip: In case of longer holidays, Google recommends the following best practices to modify your “Holiday hours”
Set Special Hours for Holidays or Events:
Scroll down to the “Special hours” section to set hours for holidays or special events. Click “Confirm hours” after entering the details.
Tip: In Local SEO there is a crucial concept known as NAP (Name, address and phone)Maintaining a consistent NAP is one of the best ways to position your company as legitimate according to Google with the consequent boost in rankings.
